Faurecia licenses TactoTek Injection Molded Structural Electronics technology

Faurecia, one of the world’s leading automotive technology companies, has signed a licensing agreement with Finland’s TactoTek to design and manufacture IMSE solutions for its automotive customers.

Plastronics, the integration of electronic functions into plastics and decorative surfaces, is becoming an increasingly important technology, said Faurecia, as it enables the creation of functional thin, lightweight, 3-dimensional parts that provide the styling and aesthetics that customers today are seeking. A disruptive technology that is fast transforming how electronics are designed and built, it is one in which Faurecia has consistently invested in recent years. This licencing agreement with TactoTek will now allow the company to accelerate the development and marketing of IMSE solutions.
