TactoTek® Online – New Content and an Improved Release Model

At TactoTek®, we’re committed to keeping our customers updated with the latest advancements in IMSE® technology. Since our last major content release in October 2024, we have been working behind the scenes to bring  continuous improvements and new resources in TactoTek Online.

TactoTek Online is a digital platform that provides TactoTek's customers with the latest IMSE® design guidelines, manufacturing instructions, and technology updates to support their development work. If you’re interested in learning more about getting a license, you can find more details here.

What’s New in TactoTek® Online?

Over the past months, we’ve introduced a series of updates—both big and small—to support your IMSE design and manufacturing work. Highlights include:

• New Component Datasheet Amendment – TactoTek verified Smart RGB LED, unlocking new possibilities for dynamic illumination in IMSE applications.
• Design & Manufacturing Instructions Enhancements – Expanded guidelines covering film stretching, material stack test methods, and other essential design and manufacturing best practices.
• New Design Application Note – SurfaceLight platform-specific design rules to help make your vision a reality.
• New Features & FLIs – Enhancements to our technology platforms to jumpstart your design process and streamline IMSE development.
• IMSE® LightChannels & SurfaceLight Updates – Solution Package improvements for smoother integration and enhanced lighting capabilities.

A New Release Cycle – More Frequent Updates

We’re also making a major change to how we release content. In the past, we followed a four-month release cycle, but to provide faster access to new information, we’ve adopted a release-when-ready model.

This means that instead of waiting months for a large batch of updates, new content will now be released continuously as soon as it’s ready.
